Employee Evaluations

Employee evaluations are the same thing as performance evaluations. Every six months or year, employees are evaluated on their performance at the company. This is their manager's opportunity to praise what they are doing well and let them know what they need improvement on.

Employees usually have the opportunity to respond to their evaluation either verbally or in writing. A dialogue between an employee and their supervisor can be extremely important during Employee Evaluations.

Employee Evaluations Should Be Fair
Employee training programs can be developed to help managers and supervisors give honest, fair and consistent evaluations. Sometimes evaluations can be a tricky matter, especially if an employee is not doing well. These training sessions will help you learn how to communicate effectively with your employee.

Employee evaluations should be constructive. Employees should learn about the areas they excel in and the areas that they could use some improvement in. Supervisors should also offer advice or insight into how an employee can improve.
